Full steam ahead

Well today I created a much more detailed version of my Project Plan. Now i know specific deadlines to meet and this should keep me on schedule.

I also created a very simple model of the Ury Estate Main House. This will be used for illustrating ideas to the client and also allow me to develop and visualize my ideas without the time constraints associated with very high detailed models.

Bellow is a quick render to see how the simple model would look and below this a picture of how the house looks right now.

Programme Research

This week I have been looking at other options regarding programmes I could use to visualize the parts of Ury Estate.

I have been playing with a programme called Vue 6. Which can be found here - http://www.e-onsoftware.com/

From one of our previous University projects where we used Unreal Tournament to create our own games, I have found that Vue 6 shares similar creation techniques to those use within game editors.

Following on from this I have looked into other game engines that allow a very realistic option to creating the visualizations. One seems to stand out of the crowd for me, the Cry2 Engine.

I have a meeting with a 3D Visualization company on Monday to talk over techniques and methods that I have been looking at and ones that they adopt.

Finally secured a project.

After 3 weeks of searching for a project I have finally secured one. This project is the 3D Visualization of elements of the Development of Ury Estate near Stonehaven. The developer is FMDevelopments http://www.fmdevelopments.com/

I have met one of the team, Richard Milne and we are both very excited about the project.

Now i have to get my head down and start researching the estate and the techniques I will use to create the visualizations. On with the hard work.
